Last Wednesday evening Landmark Harcourts were honoured for their achievements over the past 12 months by being presented with a number of awards across several categories at the Harcourts National Awards night, held at Jupiters on Queensland’s Gold Coast, as part of the Harcourts National Conference.

At the Conference which commenced last Monday, attendees were also treated to some exceptional keynote presentations from speakers including, founder of braaap Motorcycles, Brad Smith, Chair of the Coporate Agriculture Group, John McKillop, Founder of MiniMovers, Mike O’Hagan and Author of 100 Things, Sebastian Terry.

Top Rural Sales Consultants in Australia – James Sides

Landmark Harcourts Deniliquin Rural Property Specialist, James Sides has been named the Top Rural Sales Consultant in Australia. The top win also comes following Mr Sides recent win as the Top Rural Sales Consultant in Victoria, at the recent Harcourts Victorian Annual Awards held at Melbourne’s Docklands. Both achievements now place Mr Sides in the top 100 Sales Consultants internationally for the Harcourts Group and 18th overall within the Harcourts Group Nationally.

Mr Sides has been a real estate consultant in the Deniliquin area for over 20 years and seen the local agriculture industry weather both good and tough times but says there is no better time to be in the industry, whether it is a passive arm’s length investment or a mainstream hands-on business enterprise.

“With outstanding commodity prices across almost all sectors, low interest rates and a global hunger for clean, green Australian food and fiber, I’m convinced the nation is now looking at agriculture to take pride of place in the economy where before we turned to mining,” says Mr Sides.

Second Top Rural Sales Consultant in Australia – Neville Tutt

Landmark Harcourts Albany Rural Property Specialist, Neville Tutt has been named the Second Top Rural Sales Consultant in Australia. The win also comes following a recent win as the Top ‘Platinum’ Rural Sales Consultant of the year in Western Australia, at the recent Harcourts Western Australian Annual Awards held at Crown Casino in Perth. Both achievements now place Neville in the top 100 Sales Consultants internationally for the Harcourts Group and 13th overall within the Harcourts Group Nationally.

Mr Tutt has been selling real estate in the lower great southern and lower coastal region of Western Australia since 1995. Over these years Mr Tutt has been in the top three sales consultants within the State since 1997 receiving numerous National and State awards.

Mr Tutt says in the regions he services he has seen a number of good years for all aspects of agriculture. He comments “Just about all regions are now well set up this year to receive their third successful and buoyant year after early opening rains from April onwards. This year has also seen increased livestock activity and high cattle prices. Other rural activities are also well established and achieving great results. Sales are strong in all areas over the region and we are looking at a low number of properties for sale with medium to high demand, so I would expect in some areas, a gentle increase in prices.”

Third Top Rural Sales Consultant in Australia – Geoff Watts

Mr Watts has been in around the upper south east of South Australia with Landmark for 35 years, specifically selling real estate for Landmark Harcourts for the past 15 years. In this time, Mr Watts has sold many large holdings across the region, and is often regarded as a master negotiator.

Mr Watts says the future climate for agri-properties across his patch is quite promising with a number of contributing factors. He comments “When you consider the cost of money, the renewed confidence in our commodities, and the number of farms currently available, the next 24 to 36 months or so are all pointing to a strong rural real estate market. If you were contemplating entering the market in the future, I’d say now is the time to set out a plan with your agent in order to achieve the best result.”
