A fourth-generation Hamiltonian, Director Darren Groves has been a mainstay in the town for most of his life. “I don’t think I could work in real estate anywhere else,” he says with a grin. “Local knowledge, local relationships, those are key to the way I work.”
With fifteen years’ of real estate experience in Hamilton, it’s obviously a recipe for success for Groves. His past sales are a mixed bag of everything the town has to offer, ranging from country cottages to sprawling lifestyle properties.
The rich potential of livestock and cropping in the area aren’t forgotten, either. Operating his own small scale farming operation, Darren is enthusiastic about the agricultural benefits of Hamilton. “It’s the best agricultural area in Australia,” he says sincerely. “Livestock, crops, we’ve got it all.”
Darren’s counterpart in the Hamilton office, Zeb Lewis, agrees. After growing up on the southern coast of Victoria, he spent several years sampling the lifestyle in towns across both Australia and New Zealand before settling in Hamilton six years ago.
It was Zeb’s strong background in customer service and solid work ethic that prompted Darren to take him on as a sales consultant. “He started from the ground up, but I knew he was well suited to the industry. He found his feet handling the administration and marketing in the office, and it was just a natural progression for him to move into a sales role.”
Despite the differences in their background, the two are on the same page when it comes to the business. Both cite communication and customer service as the secret to their success. “Everyone that walks through our door has a problem we can help with,” says Darren. “They want a new home, they want to upsize, downsize…whatever they need, we can help them.”
